Bradford board reviews fire station bid and ambulance-service changes; mutual-aid letters discussed

During committee reports the Fire Department reported that Northern Lights will remove ambulances from Corinth on Sept. 12. The department said primary ambulance response would shift to neighboring towns (Dexter or Dover) and that they have met with Hudson and Charleston fire chiefs to discuss signing mutual-aid letters enabling towns to work in each other's jurisdictions with board approval. The department also indicated plans to begin billing Medicaid for calls and to pursue available grants; Corinth may be developing its own ambulance capability in the future.
Board members recorded these updates as committee reports; no formal motion to change coverage was made at the meeting. The Select Board retained authority to approve mutual-aid agreements and instructed staff and relevant chiefs to continue negotiations and report back with any formal agreements or contract terms for board review.
