The Town of Bradford Select Board recessed its June 19 meeting so the Planning Board could meet and discuss LD 2003, a state mandate on land use ordinances, and related next steps. The Planning Board scheduled a Special Town Meeting for 6:00 p.m. on June 26 to vote on adopting LD 2003.
Discussion during the joint scheduling included logistics for receiving and opening bids for a proposed future fire station. The Future Fire Station Committee reported that the advertisement for bids ran in the papers on June 18–19 and that bid packets had been sent to McNaughton, Nickels, J.N. Brown and O’Day. Planning Board members asked the Select Board to move the July 15 meeting to July 17 to hold a combined Select Board and Planning Board meeting for the purpose of opening those bids; the board agreed to the scheduling request.
Levi Surette recommended that Peggy Nevells serve on a committee to update Bradford’s comprehensive plan, last revised in 2002. The Planning Board also noted that Candance has joined the board and that an alternate seat is available.
No direct quotations were recorded in the minutes for these items; actions and scheduling were recorded as motions and meeting minutes entries. The Planning Board adjourned at 7:35 p.m.; the Select Board reconvened at 7:36 p.m.
