Councilman Sunday moved the resolution and Councilman Engberg seconded; council members praised the cooperative arrangement and supported extending the agreement through 2043 to accommodate planned bonds and joint purchases. Councilmember Mumgaard said the agreement was "one of the best things the city of Papillion has ever done" and expressed pride that the arrangement will continue.
According to the Chief, the bylaw changes update finance duties and other operational wording to reflect current practice. The amendment will help all three entities plan for capital purchases and bond-related needs without interrupting joint operations. Council voted in favor without recorded opposition.
