Vice chair declines chair bid, board discusses succession planning

Director Katie said she is interested in pursuing board leadership roles and noted she and a small group will begin organizing volunteer support for the bond campaign this summer.
Other directors volunteered to serve as vice chair or support incoming leaders during transition and emphasized the value of having experienced leaders mentor successors. The board did not hold a vote on leadership at the June 16 meeting; members said leadership nominations and a vote will occur in July.
