Bellevue introduces Quail Crossing rezoning and a ban on off-road vehicles

At the June 16 meeting the Bellevue City Council introduced two ordinances and scheduled second readings and public hearings for July 7, 2026 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.
Ordinance 4219 would amend the official zoning map to rezone Lot 1 of Quail Crossing Plat One (a replat of Lot 67 and Out Lot A) from BG and RG-20 to RG-20 PS, to allow multifamily residential development pending site-plan approval and a preliminary plat. The council read the ordinance for introduction and set the second reading and public hearing for July 7.
Ordinance 4220 would add a new article to Chapter 20 of the Bellevue Municipal Code to prohibit operation of off-road recreational vehicles on public streets, alleys, sidewalks, byways, trails and other public property; the ordinance includes definitions, exceptions and penalties. The ordinance was read for introduction; the council directed members with questions to bring concerns to administration prior to the next meeting.
