One speaker said Myers had been “a steady presence through periods of change,” and the board thanked her for leadership and partnership during the superintendent’s first year.
Dr. Myers addressed the board, saying the decision to leave was difficult, expressing gratitude for colleagues and the community, and pledging to support a seamless leadership transition. She said she would remain connected to the district even after leaving her current role.
The board did not vote to appoint a successor during the meeting; administrators said they will manage the transition and follow normal personnel processes.
