Commissioners also discussed plaque logistics: size, material and placement will be determined after the town attorney’s guidance. The memorial committee circulated a draft resolution and the deed in advance for commissioner review; the motion to accept the amended resolution was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
“Pat set a standard for integrity and a life of truth and honor that we can all aspire to,” the Chair said during the discussion, praising Carroll’s long service to the commission and the town.
Next steps: staff will confirm legal steps with the town attorney, finalize plaque text and materials, and plan a dedication ceremony once approvals are complete. Commissioners said they expect invitations to include state and federal legislators for a planned centennial commemoration.
