Greenville County committee commissions Nathan Colon as Animal Control Officer

The Greenville County Roads, Infrastructure and Public Works Committee on June 16 approved the commissioning of Nathan Colon as an Animal Control Officer.
Staff introduced Nathan Colon, saying he joined Greenville County in April and previously served as a full Animal Control Officer in Spartanburg County. Staff described Colon as "very qualified" with prior field and enforcement experience and invited him forward for questions and commissioning.
Committee members welcomed Colon and his family, and one member raised a neighborhood concern about dogs chasing a constituent near the Parker Fire Department. Colon responded briefly and committee members thanked him for joining the county. A motion to approve the commissioning passed by voice vote.
The committee expressed support for Colon's role enforcing county animal-control rules; staff and committee members offered their assistance if needed.
