The Village of Wilcox Board of Trustees approved routine financial business and several action items at its March 11, 2025 meeting. Chairman Brad Gardels opened the session, noting compliance with the Open Meetings Act, and the board recorded trustees Gardels, Norman, Nash, Johnson and Adam as present.
The board reviewed and approved the treasurer’s report after a motion by Trustee Johnson and a second from Trustee Nash; the motion carried with all members voting in favor. Trustees then reviewed a slate of claims for payment, including notable entries such as NPPD for $18,242.88, SCS for $4,288.91 and salaries totaling $5,719.70. On a motion by Trustee Adam with a second from Trustee Norman the board approved all claims unanimously.
The board denied Building Permit Application #405 (applicant R. Gellermann) because the proposed garage did not meet the required footage from the edge of the street; the permit application was recorded as denied in the minutes. The record does not show a mover or seconder for the denial.
On a separate land-use matter the board voted to proceed with surveying village-owned property at 310 N. Noxon. Trustee Adam moved and Trustee Nash seconded a motion directing Miller and Associates to survey and set corner pins to establish four lots measuring 150 feet by 140 feet. The motion passed 4–1 (Ayes: Adam, Nash, Johnson, Gardels; Nay: Norman).
The meeting minutes show the board took no action on a town-wide clean up day (the event will not be held this year) and adjourned after completing listed business.
