Mr. McKenzie, presenting the finance update, told the board that final state aid represents about 72% of the district's revenue and that the district faced a roughly $137,000 reduction in state aid (about $130,000 restricted, about $7,800 unrestricted). He said the district balanced the budget by prioritizing and adjusting funding streams, including a modest salary increase and targeted reductions in grant-funded supplies.
"We received final state aid figures and adjusted revenues and expenses so the budget balances for July 1," Mr. McKenzie said, adding the board's funding request to county government was fully funded.
