Nehawka trustees waive state audit and set bank signatures; meeting adjourns

The Village of Nehawka Board of Trustees authorized several administrative actions at its Oct. 23, 2024 special meeting. Acting Clerk/Treasurer Pat Neu moved, and Chairman Tim Dineen seconded, to waive the State audit for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2024; the board voted 4–0 in favor, with Trustee Ian Begemann absent.
Neu also noted that new bank signature cards will be requested to include new clerk/treasurer employee McKenna Sobota. To reduce timing issues when a signer is absent, the board designated Sobota, Chad Krueger and Pat Neu as signatories on village checks.
Chairman Dineen closed the meeting after other business and a brief community event update; he noted a large turnout at a recent park pumpkin-painting event. The board adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
