Siloam Springs board meets in special session, holds executive session on employee matter and schedules follow-up

The Siloam Springs Board of Directors convened a special meeting March 11, 2026, and voted to move into an executive session “to consider the employment of an employee,” the presiding chair said. The board adjourned to a closed session and reconvened later the same meeting, announcing that no decisions were made during the executive session.

The chair opened the meeting, called roll to establish a quorum and asked for a motion to enter executive session for personnel matters. A director moved and another seconded; the chair directed a roll call vote and announced the motion was approved. Directors who responded with "yes" during that roll call included Wilds, Hunt, Allan and Blair; other directors recorded presence on the call.

After adjourning to the executive session and returning to open session, the board said no formal actions resulted from the closed-door discussion. Before adjourning the public meeting, the chair announced a special-called follow-up meeting for March 12 at 11:30 a.m. The board took a voice vote to adjourn and the meeting ended.

Actions recorded in the public minutes included the motion to enter executive session to consider employment matters and a motion to adjourn. No personnel decisions, appointments or disciplinary actions were reported in open session.
