A motion to approve the recommended revisions to policies (listed in the meeting materials) for first reading was moved by Mr. Holmquist and seconded by Dr. Bidwell. Roll call recorded affirmative votes from Mr. Holmquist, Dr. Bidwell, Mr. Parici, Mr. Miselli, Mr. Hedley and Mr. Kilgore; the motion carried.
The items approved were for first reading only; no final adoption occurred at this meeting. The district expects the standard follow-up required for first-reading policy actions, including any statutory-notice requirements and placement on a future board agenda for final adoption.
