- Donation to GAVC (ordinance 261012): Staff recommended selling a decommissioned 2013 Ford Explorer police vehicle to the Galesburg Area Vocational Center for $1 for hands‑on law enforcement training. Council moved the item to second reading and then approved the measure; recorded votes showed approvals and the measure advanced (7‑0 recorded on the final vote reported in the meeting).
- Sale of surplus real estate (item 263023): Staff recommended accepting the highest or best bids on 12 city‑owned vacant parcels offered in the 2026 property sale program. Expected proceeds of $11,001.01 will be deposited into the property redevelopment fund. The sale requires a three‑fourths majority; council voted 7‑0 to accept the recommended bids.
- Police vehicle purchase (item 263022): Staff recommended awarding a bid to Vogler Motor Company for a 2027 Ford Police Interceptor Utility at $49,007.68 to replace a squad declared a total loss. Funding will come from insurance proceeds and the vehicle replacement fund. Council approved the purchase (7‑0).
- Consent agenda and routine warrants: The council approved three consent items including a special event permit for the Galesburg Gauntlet disc golf tournament and a contract related to public transportation services; roll call showed unanimous approval for the consent agenda.
Most votes were recorded by roll call with the names read by the clerk. One notable abstention during the evening occurred on the Ameren easement resolution (see separate coverage) where Council member White recorded an abstention; other routine measures passed with unanimous support.
