Bill Kurth of Premier Lakes reported to the River Ridge CDD on July 23 that the community’s lakes, preserves and dry retention areas are generally in good shape but that seasonal algae growth was noted. He said a cabinet installed around a compressor reduced the sound level near the Masters Lake from roughly 64 to 52 decibels and that plantings are scheduled in the near future.
Operations Manager Shane Willis said the issue is not solely decibel level but the tone of the aerator, and discussion followed about potentially moving the compressor and whether easement limits would allow relocation. Mr. Willis will coordinate with Bill and Alex Kurth and report findings at the next meeting.
Chair Bob Schultz summarized flooding concerns in Edgewater and suggested additional piping, littoral plantings and rip‑rap; he recommended meeting with Tim Wilkin at Edgewater 1 NUR to seek a mutually acceptable solution. The Board agreed that Canna lilies should not be planted and placed Lake E4‑A plantings on hold until an agreement is reached with the Edgewater Association.
Separately, Mr. Willis presented the Annual Quality Assurance audit for lake maintenance and dry retention, reporting that water levels were high and recommending the audit be performed earlier next year; he reported no compliance issues with the dry retention areas and said the lakes have improved since Premier Lakes began maintenance.
