River Ridge CDD accepts resignation of Supervisor James Gilman, will solicit candidates for Seat 1

The River Ridge Community Development District board accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman from Seat 1 (term expires November 2026) at its Aug. 27 meeting.
Cleo Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter. On a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, the board voted unanimously to accept the resignation.
Management said the vacancy will be communicated to residents of The Meadows by e-blast from Mr. Long and The Meadows’ property owners association manager, and interested candidates will be asked to submit a resume or letter of interest before the next meeting. Because this is an appointment to fill an unexpired term rather than an election, the board noted the need to collect candidate materials for consideration. Administration of oath of office, required ethics training, and related disclosure filings were deferred and will be provided in a separate package to any appointed individual.
