Council members discussed multiple location options — including the front of town hall, the splash pad and the Annex — and asked to see a picture or mockup of the proposed design before any final decorative choices are implemented. One council member said they preferred a painted mural (not a removable banner) and another noted shading and seasonal temperatures when scheduling painting days.
A motion to place the mural on the Community Center Annex passed by voice vote; council members also encouraged a ribbon‑cutting or unveiling when the project is complete. The Parks board said it expects to begin preparation when temperatures moderate and that local art guild volunteers will assist.
The council did not set a firm installation date and requested the advisory board supply a final mockup for council review before painting begins.
