Council votes to enter executive session on real property, then adjourns study meeting
Summary
Mayor Dawn Ramsey moved and the council approved a motion to recess into a closed executive session to discuss purchase/exchange/lease of real property; after returning to open session the council approved a motion to adjourn.
At the close of the Feb. 17 study meeting, Mayor Dawn Ramsey moved to recess the study meeting into an executive (closed) session to discuss the "purchase, exchange or lease of real property." The motion received a second and was approved by voice vote when members responded "Aye."
After returning to open session the council then approved a motion to adjourn.
Votes and procedure: The motions were made and seconded on the record; the meeting minutes for the regular session should record the official motion text, the names of the mover and seconder and the voice vote recorded during the meeting.
No policy decisions or real-property actions were adopted in open session during the study meeting; the executive session was convened for discussion as stated in the motion.
