At its Jan. 21 meeting the Yarmouth Finance Committee voted unanimously, 6–0, to recommend FY27 budgets for Community Development, Building and Inspectional Services and Health as printed in the budget book but excluding the $195,000 Veterans budget until the county assessment is available.
Chairman Richard Simon presented the motion to recommend those budgets with the Veterans line omitted. George Perkins moved the recommendation and Rafael Gutierrez seconded. The committee took a roll‑call vote with all six members present voting "Aye" (Nathan Ladley, Alyssa Mullin, John Anderson, George Perkins, Rafael Gutierrez, Richard Simon); the motion carried.
The committee also approved minutes for Jan. 7 and Jan. 14, 2026. John Anderson moved to approve the prior minutes, George Perkins seconded, and the committee again recorded a unanimous roll‑call vote.
Simon said the Veterans assessment remains outstanding and that the committee could revisit the Veterans budget line when the county assessment is received. The committee scheduled a Wastewater financial update for the Jan. 28 meeting and may consider additional budget items in subsequent hearings.
