South Jordan council repeals specialty tobacco shop license; general tobacco sales remain permitted

Staff said the repeal reflects a public-health preference and the city’s interest in limiting specialty tobacco outlets while maintaining lawful retail tobacco activity in typical stores. No public testimony specific to the ordinance was recorded during the public hearing.
