Council members heard statements from Dan Green, Wes Forewood, Tristan Warwood, Nick Mangelson and Brady Taylor. After a procedural discussion about voting order and methods, the council voted in sequence on the candidates. Council members recorded their votes and Brady Taylor was selected. The mayor administered the oath of office; Taylor repeated the oath and took his seat.
