The Harrisburg School Board on June 16 approved multiple routine district items, including a new Cybersecurity policy, a Cynergy services contract, an updated playground quote for HES and several personnel actions following an executive session.
Superintendent Julie Isbell recommended the measures; the board acted unanimously on most items. Ryan Murphy called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. and the board approved the May 19 regular-session minutes and the June 4 special-session minutes, and accepted May 2025 invoices and financials.
In separate motions the board approved a vehicle and equipment insurance quote and voted to accept a Cynergy contract described in the minutes as covering the 2025–2056 school year. The board also adopted a Cybersecurity policy and a revision to policy 1.19 after a recommendation from the superintendent; Ashley Rowton moved the cybersecurity motion and Jeremy Lally seconded it.
The board approved an updated Playwell Group quote for the HES playground and set the board meeting dates for the 2025–26 school year. The superintendent was appointed as the district’s representative to the Education Service Cooperative Board of Directors for a two-year term.
The board met in executive session from 5:27 p.m. to 6:16 p.m. and, upon returning to open session, accepted the superintendent’s recommendation to hire the listed 2025 summer workers (motion recorded as carrying 4-0 in the minutes). The board also approved a custodial payout for unused sick/personal/vacation days effective June 30, 2025.
The board approved the hire of Jennifer Privett as an ALE aide and bus monitor for the 2025–26 school year. With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:17 p.m.
