Harrisburg School Board approves financials, personnel hires and career coach support

Isbell also presented a letter of support and proposed salary terms for a Career Coach position for the district. Director Bridgett Hewitt moved to approve the letter and salary terms and Director Ashley Rowton seconded; the board voted 5-0 to approve. The minutes record that salary terms were included in the packet but do not list specific dollar amounts.
The board entered executive session at 5:28 p.m. and returned at 6:25 p.m. After the executive session, Isbell recommended hiring six employees for the 2026–2027 school year: Pam Hogue; Jay Murphree; Brooklynne Rapert; Brian Carter; Karla Garrison; and Erica Lally. Director Bridgett Hewitt moved to hire the recommended candidates and Director Kurt Johns seconded; the motion carried 4-0. The minutes note that Director Jeremy Lally had left the meeting prior to the vote and returned afterward.
The board adjourned at 6:30 p.m. following a motion from Director Kurt Johns, seconded by Director Jeremy Lally; the vote was recorded as 5-0.
