After executive session, Harrisburg board hires maintenance worker and approves rehire lists for three schools

After a closed executive session, the Harrisburg School Board voted unanimously to approve several personnel changes.
Interim Superintendent Julie Isbell returned the board to open session after an executive session from 5:59 p.m. to 6:56 p.m. and recommended hiring Jeremy Neugebauer for the district maintenance position. The hire was approved on a motion by Jeremy Lally with a second from Kurt Johns; the board vote was 5-0.
Isbell also presented recommended rehire lists for certified staff at Weiner Elementary School, Harrisburg Elementary School and Harrisburg High School. The board approved the rehires by unanimous vote. The minutes list 12 certified staff for Weiner Elementary, 34 for Harrisburg Elementary and 33 for Harrisburg High School; names are recorded in the official minutes.
Motions to accept the hiring and rehire recommendations were carried without recorded dissent. The board’s actions conclude the district’s routine staffing approvals for the coming school year.
