Cudahy Common Council approves two certified survey maps and routine consent items

The Cudahy Common Council on April 18, 2017 unanimously approved two certified survey maps and approved consent items including claims totaling $582,153.30 during a meeting at the Cudahy Municipal Building.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor John Hohenfeldt. A motion by Alderperson St. Marie-Boelkow, seconded by Alderperson Hollenbeck, approved the consent agenda; the consent list included minutes from several commissions and boards and the claims ending March 31, 2017 in the amount of $582,153.30.
A motion by Alderperson Litkowiec, seconded by Alderperson St. Marie-Boelkow, approved the minutes of the council's April 5, 2017 meeting. Alderperson Hollenbeck temporarily left the meeting at 7:07 p.m. and returned at 7:08 p.m., as noted in the minutes.
The council considered and approved the mayor's appointments to various city boards, commissions and committees by motion of Alderperson Litkowiec and second by Alderperson Johnson; the roll call vote carried unanimously.
Under new business the council unanimously approved Resolution No. 7111, authorizing a certified survey map for the property at 3624 E. Hammond Ave. (motion by Alderperson St. Marie-Boelkow, second by Alderperson Johnson). The council also unanimously approved Resolution No. 7112, authorizing a certified survey map for the property at 4740 S. Pennsylvania Ave. (motion by Alderperson Johnson, second by Alderperson Hollenbeck). Both approvals were recorded as carried on roll call votes.
Mayor John Hohenfeldt provided updates including an annual report on road spending, the March 2017 Care for Cudahy inspection summary and an update from the April Plan Commission meeting. The Police Chief presented the Cudahy Police Department 2016 annual report.
During the public comment period Steven Parsons of 3717 E. Ramsey Ave. spoke about reconstruction at the corner of Ramsey and Packard Avenues and raised concerns about tree stumps remaining after work. The council adjourned at 7:27 p.m. on a motion by Alderperson Moralez, seconded by Alderperson Johnson; the minutes were later signed and attested by Mayor John Hohenfeldt and Clerk/Treasurer Dennis Broderick.
