Superintendent reports three new enrollments and garden improvements

Superintendent Gloria Dean reported at the March 24 meeting that three students enrolled that day — one entering second grade and two entering third grade — who came from the Alamo Lake area. Dean also introduced a new maintenance employee, Ms. Tippett, and said the new hire is settling in quickly.
Dean told the board that Mr. Alamban from the University of Arizona installed a watering/soaker hose in the school garden; she said she would like to add student-made stepping stones and yard art to the garden project. These items were presented as informational under the superintendent’s administrative report; no formal board action was required.
