Wenden Elementary trustees approve personnel contract and intergovernmental agreements

Brianna Davis moved to approve a contract for Tanahiry Best for the 2026–2027 school year; Siera Thornton seconded and the motion passed 4-0. The board then approved an intergovernmental agreement with the La Paz County School Superintendent's Office to provide management and support for the district financial system in FY2026–2027. That motion was made by Davis, seconded by Thornton, and carried 4-0. The board also approved an IGA with Vail School for the Beyond Textbooks program for 2026–2027 on the same vote pattern.
The votes were routine and recorded as unanimous among the four board members present. The meeting minutes show no debate or amendments to the motions. The board set a tentative date for its next regular meeting (April 14, 2026) before adjourning at 6:41 p.m.
