Robert Malloy raised public comment during the meeting, saying that fair and rodeo traffic has repeatedly blocked a private lane and county road used to access his family's residence and business during fair times. Malloy said owners have been allowing horses to graze on the private yard and that the resident sometimes must wait to reach the house. He said he had discussed the issue with the fair board but no solution was presented and asked supervisors to follow up with the Saddle Club and horse representatives.
Later in the meeting the Board recessed briefly to perform a random cash count at the Sheriff's Office; Cassie Jacobsen and Dave Beane assisted. Most funds balanced, but a car wash fund showed $11.75 on hand while the sheet reported $18.25, a $6.50 shortfall. Jacobsen and Beane said they would check with deputies to determine whether an undocumented withdrawal occurred.
The Board did not take formal enforcement action on the parking matter at the July 23 meeting but agreed further discussion would follow.
