The meeting record says Veik recommended approving the bids; Cece advised there was no way to reduce the quoted amount. On a motion by Supervisor Rick Thompson, seconded by Vice Chairman Doug Sorensen, the board approved the change order; the minutes record the vote as “all in favor.”
According to the minutes, Shannon Cece said that once the change order was signed and submitted back, she would be able to keep the project moving forward and get material ordered. The board did not provide additional funding details in the special meeting minutes; the change order amount recorded in the minutes is $74,485.
