The Anthem Growth Committee met July 10, 2025, and discussed a rezoning request for a parcel west of Interstate 17 near mile marker 228 (Pioneer Road) to allow multi-family development, Chair Dino Cotton said.
The committee identified the site as a key piece of future annexation strategy for areas bordering Anthem amid ongoing growth along the I-17 corridor, and members emphasized the need for proactive planning to keep future annexed parcels consistent with Anthem’s community standards and neighborhood character, Cotton said.
Committee member Jon Parsons proposed submitting an email inquiry through ESG to initiate contact with TSMC as part of outreach and coordination related to the parcel. The proposal was presented as a possible next step to gather more information or open stakeholder discussions.
To manage presentation time and clarity to the Board, Chair Dino Cotton recommended splitting the committee’s presentation into two parts to be delivered over two consecutive monthly Board meetings. Trevor Carter told the committee he is developing a conceptual GIS-based visual map to support the presentation.
No formal motion or vote on rezoning or annexation was recorded in the minutes. The committee adjourned at 7:50 PM. The meeting minutes were submitted by Jules Beauvais.
