Superintendent Gloria Dean delivered the administrative report at the April 15 meeting, reporting that district enrollment is "75 total - 12 out of district." She told the board Wenden will host professional development on April 17 for teachers in the WIT & WISDOM English language arts curriculum that the district expects to implement at the start of the 2026'027 school year.
Dean said the district will meet virtually April 23 with a vendor called Huddle Up to discuss the district's needs for speech, occupational therapy and physical therapy services; she said that Huddle Up will replace the district's former provider, E-Therapy. She also reminded the board and community of a science fair scheduled April 30 for grades 3— and an eighth-grade trip planned for May 5—.
The superintendent framed these items as operational updates rather than matters requiring board action; several items (curriculum adoption and staff training, student trip planning) will return in future operational or consent items as required.
