Council forwards recommendation to state to approve Fast Mart's beer-and-wine license under new ownership

The Wickenburg Common Council on June 1 voted unanimously to forward a recommendation of approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for a Series #10 beer-and-wine retail license for Fast Mart, 1115 W. Wickenburg Way.
Town Clerk Amy Brown told the council the Series #10 license allows a retail store to sell beer and wine in sealed containers and to provide limited on-site sampling events and residential delivery under state statutes cited in the routing form (A.R.S. 4-203(J); 4-210(D)). The applicant is listed as Nirav Rajendrakumar Patel and the new owner entity is Pramukh Wick LLC; the clerk's office reported no public comments during the required 20-day posting and police and community development reviews raised no issues.
Public hearing on the application was opened and closed at 5:54 p.m. with no public input. Councilmember Kristy Bedoian moved to forward a recommendation to the state licensing authority to approve the application; Councilmember Margaret Nyberg seconded and the motion passed 6-0.
The council's action is a local recommendation to the state agency; final licensing authority rests with the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control.
