North Royalton council adopts revised fee schedule, says vendor fees will be lowered

North Royalton — City Council on June 2 adopted Ordinance 26-104, a measure repealing Ordinance 26-96 and amending the codified general fee schedule (Part 2 Administrative Code, Chapter 214, Section 214.05) to revise business and vendor fees.
Mayor Paul F. Marnecheck told council the administration inherited the Chamber's fee schedule for Home Days and later concluded it "may be a little high," so the city moved to lower fees now and conduct a fuller review next year. Council moved to suspend the three-reading rule and adopted the ordinance by unanimous roll call (7-0).
Council member Kaylee Green noted Planning Commission items separately during committee reports; the fee ordinance passed without recorded public comment. The text of Ordinance 26-104 repeals Ordinance 26-96 but the meeting record does not include a line-by-line fee table; specific new fee amounts were not read into the record at this meeting.
Because the ordinance was enacted with an emergency suspension of readings, it takes immediate effect as adopted. The council adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
