Dorchester board tables generator purchase for Well #5 pending more quotes; fire chief to research sign for new building

During the Jan. 12 meeting the board discussed replacing or upgrading the backup generator serving Well #5. Brent Kasl said he would gather additional quotes and more information; Trustee Roger Miller moved and Trustee Matt Shaw seconded a motion to table the generator decision until the February meeting. The motion carried.
Chief Pracheil provided the Dorchester Volunteer Fire Department report. The department plans to place an old pumper on an online auction and will hold a recognition banquet on Feb. 21. Chairperson Miller suggested installing a sign for the new fire building and asked Chief Pracheil to research sign options and report back at the next meeting.
The minutes do not include cost estimates, preferred vendors, or specific technical requirements for the Well #5 generator; the board deferred the purchase decision pending additional information.
