Lebanon adopts municipal forest stewardship master plan and Anthony Preserve plan

The Lebanon Township Committee approved Resolution No. 197-2025 on Nov. 5, adopting a Municipal Forest Stewardship Master Plan prepared by the New Jersey Audubon Society and a separate Forest Stewardship Plan for the Anthony Preserve prepared by Ridge and Valley Forest Management.
The plans cover approximately 253 acres of municipal forested land, including about 98.58 acres designated as the Anthony Preserve at 51-55 Anthony Road (Block 49, Lots 4.02 and 89.01). Committee members said the plans were reviewed by the township Planning Board on Oct. 16 and recommended for committee approval. Sharon Petzinger, chair of the Environmental Open Space Commission, spoke about requested changes and supported adoption.
The mayor was authorized to execute the Anthony Preserve Forest Stewardship Plan on behalf of the township. Copies of the adopted plans will be provided to New Jersey Audubon, Ridge and Valley Forest Management, the New Jersey Forest Service and the Environmental Open Space Commission.
