Sharon Petzinger, chair of the Environmental Open Space Commission, described plans to use a drone survey over township property to estimate deer density. The committee noted the grant requires no municipal match and authorized the mayor and township clerk to execute any necessary grant documents.
The committee also approved a corresponding budget insertion to recognize the $3,000 revenue and create a matching appropriation titled "Community Based Deer Management Program." Members said any amendments to the grant agreement would come back to the committee for approval.
