At its June 11 meeting the Paradise Valley Town Council authorized funding agreements totaling $190,000 for community services grants and approved several consent‑agenda items and a liquor license transfer.
Management analyst Amy Rebanar presented the grant recommendations, which reflect prior advisory committee review and prior council direction. The recommended awards included allocations to several local and regional service providers (full list in the staff report). After a brief discussion about historical growth in the program and the need for metrics to assess impact, the council approved the funding agreements with two members voting in opposition.
On the consent agenda the council approved minutes, canceled the June 25 meeting, approved an amendment to an IT cabling contract, and approved a renewal amendment for tax audit services. The council also held a public hearing and moved the Kimpton Marilina Resort & Villas liquor‑license transfer (Series 6) forward to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control with a recommendation for approval after both police and community development reported no reason to oppose.
Separately, council approved acceptance of donations to the town for FY26; staff agreed to follow up where donation items had an unknown market value (for example, a line item of 100 Barrett‑Jackson tickets was flagged as 'unknown'). Council asked staff to provide dollar valuations where possible for transparency.
