Norwich Township names Jeff Warren fire chief, approves promotions and medic purchase

Chief Warren and trustees discussed department operations, promotions, and equipment needs. On Nov. 18 trustees approved ordering a Horton medic for $238,425.26 (motion #141118.03). On Dec. 16 the board awarded the 2003 engine refurbishment to Sutphen Corporation for $107,699.24 (motion #141216.03). Minutes also record recognition awards and other staffing changes across the year.
The board recorded that promoted personnel had already been performing many lieutenant duties and that the promotions were expected to reduce out-of-class pay costs and provide clearer role responsibilities. Trustees also directed the chief to present prioritized capital items and fee-structure proposals for 2015 budget planning.
