The Kenosha County Planning, Development & Extension Education Committee on May 13 approved several administrative actions and a policy resolution, and tabled two annual reports.
Division Director Andy M. Buehler presented a resolution authorizing professional services agreements and budget adjustments with the Village of Salem Lakes for permitting and zoning services; the committee approved the authorization and the associated budget adjustments unanimously.
The committee also voted unanimously to recommend support for the Federal Floodplain Enhancement & Recovery Act legislation to the Kenosha County Board.
Director Buehler and county public works officials presented a revised Planning & Development fee schedule based on internal time‑and‑cost analysis and comparisons with other Wisconsin counties; the committee approved the revised fee schedule unanimously.
Two draft annual reports for the county comprehensive plan ('A Multi‑Jurisdictional Plan for Kenosha County: 2035' 2024 and 2025 Annual Reports) were tabled at the director’s request to allow additional time for completion. The committee approved prior meeting minutes and adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
