ZBA approves Dunkin’s Route 300 canopy and menu-board updates

The Town of Newburgh ZBA on March 26 approved area variances for the Dunkin site at 1406 Route 300 to replace an existing drive-thru order canopy with a new canopy, switch a static menu board to a digital unit, and reface the tenancy panel on a shared pylon sign.
Rosemary Travis, representing the applicant, told the board the changes are part of a signage and brand update and are in-kind for the site; she said the drive-thru locations and menu-board positions will not change and that the existing sign remains internally illuminated. "It's just the new logo," Travis said of the tenant reface.
Board members checked for posting, DOT and County referral status, and potential glare or impacts to nearby residences; staff confirmed a local-determination GML-239 and provided a posting affidavit and photograph. After questions about signage illumination and visibility, the board voted unanimously to approve the variances.
