After adopting the budget, the council approved posting job solicitations and requests for proposals funded under the new budget.
Staff (Erin Nelson) said the town will open a part-time W-2 minute/notetaker position and seek a 1099 contractor for general maintenance services. The minute-taker posting will include ADA-compliance responsibilities, prefer Bluff residents where feasible, and allow hybrid arrangements; the maintenance RFP requires contractors to carry liability and workers—omp insurance and appropriate licensure for specific projects, with flexibility to subcontract when specialized licenses are required. Nelson said applicants may propose alternative pay structures and indicate tools or equipment they need the town to supply.
The town also has active RFPs for legal and accounting services. Mayor Ewing and councilors Spencer Wade and Jennifer Davila volunteered to serve on hiring or selection committees as noted in the minutes.
No formal council vote was required for the notices beyond adoption of the budget that funds the positions and RFPs.
