Planning Board schedules May 7 public hearing for five‑lot Meyerson subdivision
Summary
The Board scheduled a Public Hearing for May 7 on the five‑lot subdivision application for lands of MSM TR (care of Meyerson). Staff reported the tree survey and SWPPP are acceptable and that Orange County Health Department review of subsurface disposal systems is required.
Larry Marshal of Mecurio Norton Tarolli Marshal presented preliminary plans for a five‑lot subdivision on Chapel Road and told the Board the submission includes a tree survey and other materials previously missing.
Pat Hines reported the tree preservation submission identifies less than 50% tree removal (permitted in the residential zone) and that the SWPPP prepared for the project is acceptable for the disturbance size. Hines noted because this is a major subdivision the Orange County Health Department must review subsurface sanitary disposal systems. Based on staff recommendations and counsel, the Board voted to schedule the required Public Hearing for the project on May 7, 2026 (motion by John Ward; second by David Dominick), and the roll call recorded 'Aye' votes.
The applicant was asked to coordinate adjoiners' notices and materials for the May 7 hearing.
