Chief Business Officer Nathan Hernandez presented the plan and said about $90 million in actions and services are aligned with the LCAP’s priorities, with targeted investments aimed at English learners, foster youth and low‑income students. Hernandez said the plan is the final year of the current three‑year cycle and that district staff will begin development of the next three‑year plan while monitoring what is working and where adjustments are needed.
Board members discussed the plan briefly with no public testimony on the item. A board member moved to approve the second reading of the 2026–27 LCAP; the motion carried with five yes votes and two members absent.
The LCAP is the district’s locally developed plan that ties resource allocation to goals for student groups and state‑required accountability measures. Hernandez told the board the district will continue monitoring implementation and adjust priorities as needed going into the next planning cycle.
The board took final action on the LCAP at the meeting and the plan will take effect for the 2026–27 school year. No further timeline for revisions was announced at the meeting.
