Following an executive session that began at 7:03 p.m. to discuss personnel matters and the Superintendent’s evaluation, the Suffield Board of Education approved the twelve‑month non‑affiliated personnel terms of employment and the Superintendent’s contract.
The board entered executive session on a motion by James Mol, seconded by Maureen Sattan; the Superintendent Matt Dunbar and Business Manager Eric Remington were invited into the session. The minutes record several interim departures during the executive session and that the session concluded at 9:12 p.m.
After returning to open session the board approved MOTION #26‑77 (to approve the twelve‑month non‑affiliated personnel terms) moved by Debra Dudack and seconded by Gianna Rossi; the motion passed 7–0. The board expressed thanks to non‑affiliated personnel for their work during the year.
The board then approved MOTION #26‑78 to approve the Superintendent’s contract as recommended and authorized the Board Chair to finalize the terms on behalf of the board; the motion was moved by James Mol, seconded by Debra Dudack and passed 7–0.
