Board interviews CEO candidate and considers KB COG shared-service option

Board members suggested scheduling an interview with that applicant and also meeting with KB COG representatives, who offered an online permitting system, shared staffing and the ability to provide coverage if a local CEO left the role. One member said the KB COG model could reduce the town’s mileage and improve permitting workflows by using photos and online review when appropriate.
Board members agreed to invite both the local candidate and KB COG representatives to meetings this week to evaluate both options; they noted funding for a deputy CEO position is available and could be used for training. No hiring decision was made at this meeting.
