At its Oct. 21 meeting, the Little Flock City Council reappointed Kelly Horn to a three-year Planning Commission term and approved the appointment of Becky Featherston to a three-year term filling a vacancy. Both appointments were approved by roll-call vote with Donny Barton absent.
The council approved the Treasurer's Report for the period ending Sept. 30, 2024, which showed a General Fund balance of $3,987,776.60 and a Street Fund balance of $848,820.21. Motions to accept the report were made by Rob Phillips and seconded by Debb Formanek and passed unanimously.
Council also approved a motion by Rob Phillips, seconded by Chris Cantwell, to authorize up to $20,000 to contract with Sundown Services to replace eight computers that were damaged in a tornado. The motion passed with the same roll-call pattern and one member absent. No additional budget detail or funding source for the $20,000 authorization was specified at the meeting.
The council announced upcoming community and committee events, including a Trunk or Treat on Oct. 26 and budget subcommittee meetings Oct. 30 and Nov. 6.
