The Little Flock City Council on Oct. 21 read by title, suspended additional readings and adopted two zoning ordinances.
Ordinance 2024-010 would rezone property owned by McMillan from AG (agriculture) to R1 (single-family residential). Council Member Rob Phillips moved to read the ordinance by title, the council voted to suspend three readings and then adopted the ordinance. The adoption motion was seconded by Chris Cantwell. The recorded vote was Robert Phillips — Yes; Debb Formanek — Yes; Chris Cantwell — Yes; Wes Waddell — Yes; Sherry Moncrief — Yes; Donny Barton — Absent.
The council also considered Ordinance 2024-011 to correct the legal description for a previously approved R1 rezone (Hurts). Council again read the ordinance by title, suspended readings and adopted the correction; motions were moved by Rob Phillips and seconded by Wes Waddell. The measure passed with the same roll-call pattern and Donny Barton absent.
Both ordinances were adopted at the meeting; no hearings or public opposition were recorded in the public comments portion of the agenda. The ordinances will be reflected in the city’s zoning records per usual administrative processing.
