Remy, participating online, said lowering the posted speed had been discussed previously but questioned enforcement capacity, saying there was no practical place to station a trooper between Blake Hill and CV Corner. A board member noted the state had two village-mounted speed signs on order and would install them; separate school-zone signs were also on order.
Board members also raised concerns about delineators and center-post treatments in the village after residents reported people swerving to avoid them, and said a state review should consider sidewalks or other pedestrian-safety options.
