Crawford council approves consent agenda, Keno grant, personnel raises and pool apron removal

The council approved a $4,300 Keno funds request to sponsor Senior Pro Rodeo bull-riding events scheduled for July 25 and 27 (motion by Christopher Dean, seconded by Patti Page; AYE: Dean, Page, Gaston). Council also approved wage adjustments requested for city employees Kevin Halls and Augustine Taylor to reflect recently obtained certifications; the minutes list the adjustment as ".47 cent raise" and record an additional ".47 cent raise" for Halls tied to an applicator/tree license, but the minutes do not clarify the pay period or unit for that figure.
Council approved travel for Krotz and Blacksheep to attend the Nebraska Rural Water Association Fall Conference in Gering on Oct. 1–2. On a motion by Patti Page seconded by Christopher Dean, the council approved a pool-committee request presented by Jenny Nixon to remove the pool apron using volunteers and city employees as available so repairs can be assessed.
City Clerk Teri Miller presented the treasurer’s report and noted budget meetings start the following day; the council approved the treasurer’s report. The council then approved bills, claims, requisitions and transfers and adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
