Other approved items included a one-year general construction services contract with Vasa Construction (term July 9, 2026 to July 8, 2027, not to exceed $300,000), an envelope and printing contract with Midlands Printing LLC (not to exceed $5,000), a memorandum of understanding with Victory Supply LLC for corrections supplies (not to exceed $300,000, term through Feb. 16, 2031), a consulting agreement with Maximus Inc. for cost allocation plans (not to exceed $25,500), and a grant contract with Cedars Youth Services for egress door reimbursement ($12,521) funded by the Nebraska Commission on Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Community-based Juvenile Services Aid Grant.
Commissioner discussion emphasized the practical benefits of timely repairs and of agreements that support diversion and treatment programs; Commissioner Matt Schulte said parking accommodations in one agreement support drug testing participants in treatment programs. All listed procurement and grant items were approved by unanimous recorded votes of members present (4-0, Commissioner Chelsea Johnson absent).
